Wholesale & Consignment for Makers
For the shops that carry you: wholesale prices, shelf counts, and settling up without a spreadsheet.
Give a product a wholesale price and mark a customer as wholesale. Phone orders and the web register then charge that customer the wholesale price, and everyone else the retail one. The form doesn't ask you to type prices, so a wholesale order can't go out at the wrong one by accident.
Each shop is a location with its own shelf count and its own prices. When it's time to settle, pick the shop and enter what's left on the shelf. Mind the Booth works out what sold, takes it off the shop's count, writes the sale at that shop's prices and books the income — in one step. Enter the cheque amount and the shop's commission is booked as an expense.
Because each shop is its own location, you always know how many of each product are sitting on its shelf and what it sells them for. Restocking a shop is setting its new count, with the difference taken out of your main stock. Your inventory total is the sum of home and every shop, so nothing goes missing between them.
When a shop calls or emails an order, the phone order form takes the customer, the items and a shipping address, prices it at their wholesale rate, and takes the stock. Mark it shipped with the carrier and tracking number when it goes out. A receipt is emailed when it's paid, and the income lands in your books.
